Our History
Founded in 1988, Colonial had it's beginnings in a small plaza in Harker Heights, Tx. Since then, the Autry family has used property management as an instrument to help those who live in the communities we serve.
In 2024, the Autry Family decided that our industry was in need of change, as evidenced by over 50% of American Landlords self-managing. We believe the reason for this is simple, Property Managers are looking out for their own bottom-line and keeping far too much of the monthly rent as a sizable fee. It has become an industry in which greed is common practice. The Autry family decided to reform Colonial into America's first Property Management Company with a Non-Profit approach. Through this radical approach, Colonial ensures our Homeowners are getting charged for the cost of our operation itself and all profits are going back into the Homeowner's pocket.
